Flower Peddler is a small, family-owned business located near Richmond, Virginia. You might say we are a true cottage industry. It's no secret we did not start out as a bath & body company - just in case our name did not give that away! We actually began our business as a floral design service. We've always had a love for things that smell, or perhaps we should say, fragrant things. So maybe a bath product line wasn't that big a leap.

In the beginning, we watched as our customers responded to the beautiful fragrances provided by nature - the relaxing scent of lavender, the sensual smell of rose. Being the curious creatures that we were, we began to read about aromatherapy, herbs, and essences and then research the powerful connection between our sense of smell and its impact on our emotions. Not long after came a visit to a craft show where a very knowledgeable soapmaker had her beautiful herbal soaps on display. Her passion for her craft was contagious. It was then that something just clicked for us. Here was a way for us to combine our love of nature with our new found interest in natural bodycare. We were hooked! After much research and a lot of experimentation on willing friends and family, the Flower Peddler Bath Product line was born.

Many of our products were inspired by or designed specifically for members of our family. From those with specific skin concerns to those who like to live dangerously by being the first to test out a new product, we couldn't do it without them. We are so happy to be able to count many of our loyal customers as part of our extended family as well.

We take our commitment to the environment very seriously by using only packaging made of recyclable materials or items composed of a high recycled content. We minimize waste in our production by reusing clean shipping and packaging materials whenever possible. Here at Flower Peddler we have a great love and respect for nature. Our goal is to encourage that same love in our customers and, we hope, in future generations as well.

Flower Peddler Gives Back

We believe that everyone can make a difference by the choices we make each day. Every action has an impact - positive or negative. We should all give back to the world community in which we live. Flower Peddler does this not only through the selections we make for our ingredients and production processes but also by supporting charitable organizations and important causes. In addition to the many product donations we make each year, we also support the following groups by donating a percentage of our sales:

Flower Peddler has partnered with the Mechanicsville Little League's Challenger Division of Central Virginia to help raise funds for this incredible organization. The MLL Challenger Division provides a wonderful opportunity for children with special needs to enjoy the game of baseball. The non-profit organization welcomes children from the community who have physical and/or cognitive disabilities. They receive no state or county support. All money is raised through donations from businesses, bingo, fundraising events, and registration fees and is reinvested into the baseball and softball programs.
